Folks, I need an emergency help/information here about Police Ceritificate from Pakistan. My wife has lived in 3 cities in interior sinds and two distircts in karachi since 18 yrs of age. In our original application we sent the PCC from the last address only..that was the one after rukhsati. Now we are preparing for Re PCC requests. We have not recieved the request but wife is coming to Canada on TRV and we wanted to do re pcc before she leaves. My question is that do we need pcc from every area she has lived ? This would be almost impossible for us to go back to the cities in interior sindh now and get pcc from each place. This could be completely impossible for us and would that mean end of our application process?

Hi

My wife got her passport request with 15 days timeline. Here is the timeline

Nikkah Only case
Submitted   : Aug 2010
AOR           : Sep 2010
File transfer: Oct 2010

Remedical + PCC request: Nov, 2011
Objection                     : Nov, 2011 (after 1 week)
Proof sent                    : Dec, 2011 (after 25 Dec.)
PPR                             : April, 2012

As my wife is planning to come over here. I have few questions,

1. How much jewellery she can bring
2. If she needs to bring their photos
3. What items she can bring
4. How many years we can bring items tax free
5. furniture list is enough or they need pics
6. Anyother info

Thanks
Rahi

Hey!
If u have mentioned all those addresses in the PR application and your stay is more than 6 months on mentioned places than you have to get Pcc from those cities but it could be jut once and if next time they ask re Pcc then just send them only current city Pcc.

Congratulations! Can you please tell me if you did Rukhsati after the objection letter? Or did you only sent them proof of your ongoing relationship? We seems to have completely identical case and identical timeline. But I am still waiting for my wife's PPR.

Hi and thanks for the response. Yes those addresses are all listed in the application and stay was more than 6 months. But our application was submitted last year with on PCC only for the latest address. What am I suppose to be doing now ? Wait for re pcc ? My wife is coming to canada in two weeks on TRV. if in the mean time they asked for re pcc then ? Do we have to travel to each of those cities to get pcc ?

Try to have PCC's made from all those districts now before your wife gets the request. Make sure you make it for all the districts she resided in since turning 18. Also, make sure that the PCC's are atleast valid for 6 months or an year, otherwise if they are expired when your wife actually get the request then no point of sending expired PCC's. No, you can have some relative take a copy of her ID and passport and have them made. She doesn't necessarily have to go to the police station to have it made.

Thanks a lot Danny. If my wife does not have to go each place personally then we can find a way to get it done. I am wondering how the people who apply inland from Canada, how do they arrange for PCC...
Thanks for your help

Another related thought is that I followed what was in the "Guide to Immigration". Which says get a Police Clearance from each country where you have lived for 6 months or more. About each district is what I gathered from the forum. They have not clearly described it in the guide specifically about each district.
Thanks

Hey Guys,

I submitted my app to sponsor my wife from Pakistan and got the approval for sponsorship.  However I noticed on the CHC website that they misspelled my wife's last name, so I called the call centre.  Call centre guy told me that they will take whatever name is on the passport.

So I check her passport and both her and my last names are misspelled on it.  My last name is Chatha, however on my wife's Pakistani passport they spelled my wife's last name as Chattha and my last name as Chattha as well (the extra 't').

Should I be concerned about it and ask my wife to get a new passport with corrections, or should I just wait for the Islamabad embassy?
On the nikahnama, the last names are spelled Chatha.

Note that the application has been sent to CHC Islamabad.

I will appreciate any suggestions/help in this regards.

Thanks...

I would make a new passport with correction in name (as u must have spelled last namecorrectly on all the forms and nikkah nama )and send a copy to islamabad with a cover letter..
My nephew's sir name was spelled wrongon pp so he made new pp.
