Waslam Bro,
I am not sure about business opportunities but for job Alberta's economy is booming like anything recently one of my friend moved here and he got job(field one) in 15 days and salary he is getting one can only imagine in dreams(atleast for 2 years) if living somewhere else.
And if you are lucky enough and get a chance in energy sector (Oil & Gas) you can start with some good bucks. There are pros and cons everywhere. Life in Alberta is not that happening or lively as compare to Toronto or Vancouver like you won't find much Desi happening but if you career oriented then consider moving to Alberta.
Here is a short review of major cities in Canada:
Montreal: Big metropolitan city with lots of opportunities. A big bilingual problem, very much impossible to accommodate here. Toronto: Again a big metropolitan city with lots of opportunities but very saturated market and very less opportunities for new comers. Vancouver: Another big city with lots of happening. Very expensive living and good for well settled Canadians. Calgary: Most happening city in Alberta. More colder than east cost. Good job opportunities. Edmonton: Commonly called “Deadmonton”. Cold place. Good place to start your career with but not good for any social happening. Regina: Haven't heard anything bad but heard place is also very cold. Good opportunities and social happening is very limited.

@ MIKE9292 No bro! I have no idea about Winnipeg, all I know about Manitoba(the province) is it's not preferred choice and the known reason is cold(irritating) weather. Back in time, Manitoba had a special immigration program on flexible terms to motivate people to move there.

An update from an inactive member (Raptorsfan) of this forum.
raptorsfan says:
Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah
By the grace of Allah (swt) and waseela of Panjatan-e-Pak (as)
This is all b/c of duas. Kya pata kiski dua kisko lag jai. I pray for everyone and the key, be nice to everyone. Always pray namaz. It is essential.
My wife got got Re-Med + PPR at the Canadian mailing address. It is with the representative and the last day to submit everything is April 14, 2012. Hence, we got 10 more days. The date on the letter was March 14, 2012 and it just arrived today. Also got the reply to the first e-mail today as today was the 15th working day.
Dilemma is that we only got 10 days. DUS DIN.
I still have to thank a lot of people here and I will do that once visa is stampted.

How long is it taking for medical appointments in Karachi these days? Is it busy? and how long does it take for the results to reach to the embassy after the re-medical is done?
I have the same question. Apparently Dr. Roohina Sattar cannot be found. Any info on her whereabouts or new address would be appreciated.
