I am from Pakistan but I never hate India because Pakistan used to be a part of India and our ancestors were all Indian, so please never hate India as
it only propagate hatred agaist each other. There are also more muslim in India than in Pak.

You know according to Quran a women cannot step out of the house without a Mahram, are we following this?

We all are putting our resources to bring our love ones here but how many of us going for HAJ and Umra as this is not expensive as coming to Canada.

If you want to be happy with your wife deal with her as Islam dictates not as she wants. If she is not obeying you there are always options like divorce.

BUT BEFORE ALL OF THIS YOU MUST ENTER INTO THE RELIGION AS RELIGION WANTS YOU.. OTHERWISE DONT COMPLAIN....

I hope so. Logic dictates the letter should be PPR but if there was actually anything logical in this process we would all be living with our spouses.

By the way, CHC was definitely working today because my wife's online status changed today from 'application received' to 'in process'. I don't know what the point of this was - obviously it has been process for a long time because she received re-med in Nov 2011 and re-PCC, IMM etc in Jan 2012.

Still waiting on the letter. It was mailed Mar 20 and I'm assuming TCS didn't work today.

Assalam o Alaikum Everyone,

Hope each one of you is doing great and is about to be united with his/her spouse or is already with his/her loved one like me, alhumdullilah. I landed in Canada, Toronto on 4th March, 2012. I traveled with PIA. Overall experience was good, not bad except they delayed take off by 3 hours, served breakfast on ground and fed us with only one meal i.e. lunch around 6pm as per PST during 15hour flight. I, however, slept my way through for 80% of the time. My interview with the Canadian immigration officer at the airport went fairly well. I had to hire a porter for all the luggage that i brought with me which was around 8 pieces ( suitcases and cartons). Custom officer only asked me what would follow so i gave them my list and respective photographs. They stamped my docs and never checked/scanned my baggage. So all in all , it took me 2 hours at the airport.

I have been wanting to update you all for quite a while now, but got lazy... sorry about that !

Thanks Danny for all the help. Do you mind sharing your thoughts on applying for visit visa or student visa of my spouse after applying for her sponsorship. say after 6 months of file transferred to islamabad.
 

Shah your case is just like mine. As when i was filling my application, i had no time, so i submitted my karachi PCC only. my file was transferred in OCT 2011, and yesterday i submitted my UAE, UK & Srilanka PCC, as i lived two years in every country, and still living in Sri Lanka.

Regarding the visit visa, i would say that ask your wife to apply as soon as possible. Once the file is transferred its difficult to get, however i was lucky enough to get one after my file was transferred, just make sure she gives enough supporting documents that she would return back to home country. i.e if she's working get a letter from employer, if she's studying get uni docs or something....

My hubby wants me to apply for TRV. I don't want to. He believes that I just might get it this time. I think otherwise since nothing has changed since I applied last time it was denied. He wants me to apply one more time since he thinks it wont hurt us. I have to apply on Monday. I dont even know what to supporting docs to show em

I think you should put a request to review the last case or appeal the last case ............. no one can give u an advice unless u tell whats the reason for visit visa rejection ............ there must be a reason that they wrote when they sent ya rejection letter ??
