INSHALLAH sister, I make duwa everyday that ALLAH reunites my husband and I as soon as possible. I did send them a medical note in 2011 but they did not do anything. Maybe I need to send them another medical letter more detailed they may do something, lets see. We are desperately waiting for an Interview Date Life is so short, I dont know how long I have to live this life and I want to spend whatever time left with my husband and have babies too ...

guys dont do that. There was one question in some of the forms that asks about any mental disorder. so dont give em a reason to prolong ur process.

I have been in and outta depression and anxiety for the past 3 yrs. Not to mention PTSD.

It's so frustrating not being with your husband as each day passes.
Life is on a standstill without my husband. Time passes by but the pain keeps increasing. I feel helpless that I cant even go see him. I went to PAK in SEPT 2011 (I sent ISB CHC new pictures, copy of my ticket, ect. in OCT 2011). I went for 2 weeks, my work only allowed 2 weeks. I risked my job and took 1 more week, total 3 weeks I spent with my husband. Time flew by and I had to come back. I have to pay my mortgage, car payment and bills so I really need to keep working (NO CHOICE). Had I known that the process will take this long prior then I would have sold my house and belongings and moved back home with my hubby until he for his VISA. Now, I am stuck and CHC ISB is taking advantage of my situation, they have no pity no sanity. ALLAH is the only one that has helped me be patient and sane and he will INSHALLAH one day accept my DUWA

2 weeks ke liye ghaib huwa tha aur aaj 3 weeks ho gaye koi kaber nahi ayee. Mujhe nahi lagta ke ye address disappearance ka humaray case se koi matlab hai. Ye bas humara vahem hai. Ager kuch fark parta tu mujke abhi tak kuch na kuch ajaana chahiye tha. Magar afsos kuch nahi aya mere husband ko. Aur mere husband Hazara main rehte hain, not too far from Islamabad only 2 hours drive, so post doesnt take long to deliver to his address.

Its time to file your taxes, so I thought I should give you guys a few tips if you are working and paying your taxes.


If you havn't added your spouse to your tax return then do it as soon as possible. Add your foreign spouse on your tax return. They will ask you to state your spouses total income for 2011 in Canadian dollars and submit a copy of your marriage certificate. So you should send a copy of translation of your Nikkah nama and a copy of your original Nikkah nama.

Huge Benefit:

If you include your spouse in your tax return, you will get a lot more return if your spouse isn't working abroad or working but has very little income in CAD. Talk to your accountant and work out the scenarios. Last year I included my spouse in my tax return and I got back a big chunk of the Fed & Provincial tax portion back.

Agreed brother, The accountant told me that you must have transferred money to your spouse proving that your spouse is dependant on you, I know that some of the memebers dont send money or dont have to send money. There is no need to send Nikkah nama or any english translation, at least I did not send it and this is the second year

They might ask for the marriage certificate as they asked me and then I sent them a copy of it along with the certified translation. They were satisfied with it. They didn't ask me to show any money transfer receipts. Although its better if you a copy of the money transfer receipts, they could ask for it if they want.

Yeah you are right brother. If someone has transferred money its better for them to add your spouse to your tax return.

I have applied for CAIPS again after having submitted additional supporting documents in December 2011.  Also spoke with my MP's office to see if they can assist.  They asked for me to write a letter which they said they will forward to Ministry and Islamabad.  That was last week.  I am hoping for some successes in being proactive and will update the forum with any changes.
InshAllah, our spouses will hear of interview dates sooner than later.

CanPak Brother, Can you email me a sample letter, like the one you sent them, I want to write one too. I had a 2 hour meeting with my local MP last month and he asked me to wait until APRIL 2012 until he contacts OTTAWA because he has a direct line with Immigration there. Normally my MP gets all my updates from OTTAWA not CHC ISB. I am not going to accept 6 more months, they are killing me and its insane. That will bring me over the timeline posted on the Immigration site which is 26 months. By the next six months I would be in my 30th month or so. We need to stick to each other to get somewhere with CHC ISB. What do you think?
