i am november 2010 aor, i still havent got my remedical.. with letters being lost now im so damn scared what the hell are they doing with our cases??? Everyoe is getting their remeds but me  i hate chc theyre ruining my life!! u r remed letter is also missing ? ur wife case  |

Hi Raptors, can you confirm that without PR, person can't travel outside of Canada, does that include trips to US as well? Are we subjected to this rule of waiting 2 years to get PR or is it for people who are sponsoring after they implemented these rules? thanks 2 years to get PR....5 years wait after getting the PR to sponsor a new spouse. In order to prevent fraud. A very good move.
I think its fair, why would you want your spouse to have a PR card right away anyway? They would be living with you anyway.
A solid living together of 2 years is necessary to develop an understanding.
If you have the PR card you will be travelling to Pakistan back and fourth and it will cost you a lot of money as well. A couple needs to save money in their early years, not spend it on useless things like travelling.

They are not going to bound anybody. Sponsored persons would be free to travel as much as they want and they will have all the rights as permanent residents. They will just have one condition, that if they get divorce or get separate within first 2 years then their status will be revoked. Now that's full of BS! They can't just bound somebody like that.. just 'cuz of fraud cases people who are legit suffers as well!
2 years.. or freakin 5 years.. doesn't make a difference if someone wants to cheat they will still do it!
