CHC, Islamabad Spouse Sponsorship Timeline 2009 -2010

Greetings S_Design, welcome to the forum

I read your situation and believe you have probably already received great advise from those who also replied to you.  When I read your statement above, I re-lived everything my wife and I are going through with her immigration.  Started off as a Nikah only application, received the same 45 day marriage of convienence letter regarding consumation of marriage, where we too responded with additional proofs and documents of our relationship.

I can speak from our experience, that anyone with a Nikah only application will have their files delayed with no guarantee the file will be approved even after the delay unless a ruhksati is complete.  Most likely placed in an interview queue where interview could take over 1 year + to arrive if not longer from the date which the application is placed in queue.  My wifes application is place in an interview queue which I only became aware of after applying for a CAIPS report on her file, i suggest applying for your CAIPS report if you already have not done so to determine status of your application.



Since then we have conducted ruhksati and submitted documents, but we are still waiting for additional status on her file since submitting those documents.  If we had completed full wedding including ruhksati before applying, I have no doubt our process would have been completed by now.

Sorry s_design, i am not familuar with GCMS. Perhaps some else can provide this answer. 

One thing i suggest is not to wait a couple months.  Apply as soon as possible as the request will take 3 to 4 weeks in itself to process and by that time your documents will have been reviewed and entered into the system with bfd (bring forward date).

No they did not send my husband a remedical, unka medical DEC 2010 main expire ho chuka hai aur un khabees logon ne re-medical ka letter nahi bhaija .. bas mere MP ko bataya gaya ke mere husband INTERVIEW QUEUE main hain, CAIPS main bhi MAY 2011 se likha gaya FILE FWD TO INTERVIEW QUEUE ...

You can search many cases there and find out what the visa officer think and what kind of things raise the concerns for VOs.

thanks for ur ealier response re: email...i appreciate that...and wow, ur visa took a long time eh, but alls well that ends well! =) just one question did they ask for an updated pcc becuz if ur pcc was done in may it must be expired by now rite?  as they are only valid for 6 months...reason am askin is we r waiting for my husband's ppr, but his pcc expired jan 23, 2011...we are aug 30/2010 aor...

Wife case, applied march 2010, aor july 2010, remedical +pcc may 2011, passport request oct 2011, passport with visa 10 feb 2012. Reason for delay, late payment of RPRF, and also ,i think not sure though, cuz of my long long travel history.

another question...i ordered caips and i applied to cic mississauga june 23, 2010, and on e case it says chc isb started processing my applicaton on august 30th, 2011...my question is did i order the rite thing or was i suppose to order gcms ?:S

TCS tried to deliver my passport on Friday but was unable to reach me. They only troubling part was that they did not call me on my cell or my landline. Fortunately I was at home today when their rider came. Anyways all is good cuz i got what i was waiting for.

For all of you who are still waiting for your visa, stay positive, keep on praying and inshAllah you will get it soon.
