Called at CIC - they told that File received at CHC - Islamabad at 7th December  and they opened file on 28th December, my wife received AOR on 2nd Jan-2010

They told it will more couple of weeks to be available status on ecase.

is it normal with every applicant ?

                Yes in my case file opened at CHC Islamabad on 21st april n status on ECAS got aval after quite a time................like 2 or 3 weeks tilll then i used client ID no of my sponsor............................just to b busy otherwise it is just waste of time............my ECAS is showing me IN PROCESS since 7th or 8th May when i first logged on No change yet so u can count the time it is useless.................... they dont update it this is worst........................improper use of technology when they can get better results,.............. i got 2 letter from embassy asking 4 additional documnets even those didnt mention on ECAS not even their receiving sent them 3 or 4 mails asking 4 update n no reply so al this ECAS is CRAP wt i think ...................or u can say a LOLLYPOP to keeep u busy as i hv almost logged on this site DAILY since last 9 months or so .......................dats all

in my case they changed the status on ecase couple of days before my husband got the AOR.
i dont think you should worry about not gettting acess by using the file number. using the client id gives you the same information. and like asim said i dont think they update it after changing the status to in process.

This site is faboulous to get help start solving all our problems........................................but I would request u guys to update ur cases in trackitt...............trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers...................this gives u better idea of ur case update to others take care n b happy

hey guys, im new here

just had a question, so after everything, i checked ecas with my client id and it says that my husabnds case started processing in chc islamabad in december....

does chc isl always send aors?
cuz he didnt get one
a lawyer is here in canada is my representative....does he get sent the aor or does my husband in pakistan?

most ppl on here have already recieved theirs....

No, sometimes they don't send them. If it shows he is in process that is a good sign that shows they received his application and started working on it.

1. are you being sponsored or sponsoring your wife? 
2. the sponsor is PR holder or Citizen?
3. sponsor is working in Canada or outside canada? or visits off n on?
4. what proof did u provide to CHC to prove that sponsor will live in canada?

So here are the answers

1. I am sponsoring my Husband
2.I am a citizen
3. Working in Canada
4. proof provided was my job letter, Tax return for the last 4 yrs, a letter from MY mp, bank statements, letter from my parents saying if my husband needs finanical support they are willing to help, full copy of my passport which included an entry and exit from lahore stamp, ummm there was a few more things but these were

Need some comments,   Posted at family immigration forum....

I am newly landed immigrant in Canada... I came here alone at first bec my spouse and 2 kids were not accompnying members in my application, so i proceeded alone while landing. They allready had their medicals and all of their documents are submitted in Local office in my country. I just wanted to confirm that is that possible that i go back to my country and then proceed their permanant residence application, while staying there and to come back with them when it is approved? OR i can only sponsor them while staying in canada?ted at family sponsor ship thread...
