I travelled to Pakistan with PIA three times in the last three years. Their international flights are usually safe but they have delays due to boarding issues on a consistent basis. About a month ago, one of their flight was cancelled from Toronto to Lahore for unknown reasons. But to answer your question, it is considered safe to fly with PIA. |

i have travelled through PIA twice and it was good but i heard abt the problems with the planes they r having these days..so i was just wondering if their international (boeing) planes r safe or not  and yes, 'became a loner' finally i am going..it was very difficult to make them understand but i did it LOL thanks |

Allkhamdulliallah, my wife has received her passport back with visa today.

The International PIA is ok. Domestic ones are having issues. If they were to do, what they are doing with International Flights, they would be fined, actually I think UK already fined them a few million of running on Desi Standard Time late last year. 1) Is it safe? Yes, 2) Reliable / peace of mind No! 3) Cheap? By couple of Hundred but discount is countered by point 2. 4) Direct? Only if you flight on the specific day for the city of your destination.
