what is the normal time frame of getting the visa from isb i know on the website its 9 months but any chance of getting it earlier

Yes well the time that they give is 7-14 months which is generally the case. If your case is pretty straight forward usually within this time frame. And if you are sponsoring wife then it is also quicker than sponsoring your husband. These days most cases i'm seeing are being finalized in 9-12 months.

Hey Guys,

My address started appearing on E-Cas account Yeah! Smiley I am Sponsored / Applicant

BUT with a little error; they have written "Azeen" instead of "Azeem" (N instead of M)
What you ppl suggest, How should I proceed & contact them for rectification?

Great news!!! I'm really happy for you allhumdulillah at least you know that some IO has opened your case and is doing something Cheesy
You should either email them with the correct information or you could send them a letter with your file number etc telling them about the wrong spelling and maybe sending an example of where your name is written properly. Anyways either of these should allow them to change the spelling.

Hey

Guys i need help.. I am sponsering my husband. My case started in Islamabad in June 2009. They asked for a second medical in Feb 2010, and i have not heard from the embassy ever since. In sponsering a husband how long does it normally take. They have written 14 months maximum. Can it also take longer than that? I am a Canadian Citizen, and i have a daughter who is also a Citizen. Please help.................................

I was just wondering then what are different statuses that appears on e-cas for PR application...

In Process... Means AOR received
Address updated... At what stage of application they put this? I think after relationship check is done.
Medicals received.. I think after background checks are done.
Decision Made..
Completed

I have gathered these after reading the forums.. Dont know when each of them applies....What do you say?

Actually generally with CHC-ISB the status will be in process which usually occurs once you receive AOR. Your status will not change but address is updated approx. a few months after AOR. My address was added in January and I received AOR in September. Other embassies do change the status but most often CHC-ISB will keep it in process until you get back your passport and then they change it to decision made.

I understand your frustrations, the difference in processing times between New Delhi and Islamabad is night and day.  Currently the CIC website shows that it takes over two times the amount of time to process applications in Islamabad then it does to process in New Delhi.

Hopefully Islamabad office will become as efficient as New Delhi in processing applications.  There are probably a lot of constraints in Islamabad hindering their ability to process faster such as load sheading and man power, but all we can do is be patient and hope for the best.  Be strong and keep your chin up.

Inshallah, we will all be with our loved ones sooner than later.

Inshallah..it's true all we can do is pray that we are united soon. I'm getting a little edgy now it's our anniversary next month it will be horrid spending our first anniversary away from each other but really it is not in our control so I'm just praying for all of us that Allah will unite us soon with our spouses and we can put this horrible process behind us.  Grin
