Obtaining a Certificat de sélection du Québec

Only Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) can decide whether, for humanitarian reasons, to process your application for permanent residence from within Canada. If your application is accepted by the CIC, you will be called to a selection interview by the Gouvernement du Québec.

Along with this notice, you will receive an application form for a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate) and instructions on how to complete it. This form must be completed by you and by each member of your family aged 18 and over.

During the interview, the urgency of your situation as well as your ability to integrate into Québec society will be assessed.

There is no fee to process a CSQ application filed on humanitarian grounds.

If you are accepted, you will receive a CSQ that gives you access to certain government services. In some cases, a CSQ will be issued to you on the condition that you are sponsored by a close relative or an organization.

The address disappears once they stamp visa on your passport. It reappears with the status 'Decision Made'. This means you will soon receive your passport with visa.

In the case of 'lover', the Med results will come to CHC-I from New Delhi and it takes max 2 weeks. You also have 45 days to submit other things. CHC-I will verify everything and then you have to wait for PPR (passport request). Once you get that, send them your passport with 2 passport size photos along with the PPR form you get. Remember not to book any flights or anything during PPR process. After PPR, you just wait for the visa and during this period keep checking E-cas regularly. After PPR is when E-Cas is very helpful. Then you get your passport with visa stamped through TCS. At this point you can book your flight for Canada, leave school in Pakistan or quit work. In your case the second medical will expire in Dec 2012, hence you have to leave Pakistan before Dec 2012 as the Medical expires at that time. If the Pakistani passport expires before Dec 2012 then you have to leave Pakistan before passport expiry date.
Basically, Medical is the expiry date for the visa for you to proceed to Canada for immigration.

Guys... Kindly guide me as my case is in process since July 2010. I got remedical in June and they also required other documents.. It seems now it's on final stage. In the meanwhile my company is offering me a training course in abroad and my wife won't let me go abroad..as per my wife if I go abroad there will be more delay in Canadian immigration process cuz they would require further detail about my abroad visit.
Pls guide me is there any effect if I go abroad.

It depends on the length of time you go abroad, generally you dont need any police clearance from outside your country of residence if the lenght of your stay is less than 6 months, secondly if CHC will raise their furrowed eyebrows depends on where you go for training...... Middle east Vrs Europe ..... and if you  have documentation that you are going abroad on a company training, that should not be a problem
