Hi Immii, this is a system generated auto response to your email. They will respond to your email between 2 to 4 weeks time unless you bugged them a lot and they filtered your email address.

WIth the grace of ALLAH Almighty, my wife got her passport back after 2 weeks. The visa was stamped 2nd day after they receive the passport, but took them nearly 2 weeks to arrange delivery. So finally the painful and one of the darkest time of my life is over. During the whole process I was watching very carefully the progress of the case by ordering the CAIPS every month. The take 20 months to finalize just because of the slow procedure and lenghty intervals between bring forward dates.

Congratulations! Finally it's over for you too...may you have a blessed and happy life ahead!

I just contacted one of the lawyer ... I am actually about to send my wife's sponsorship papers.

The consultant told me that these days Canadian High Commission in Islamabad wants Rukhsati pictures and Nikkah only cases are not entertained.

I am not sure how tru is this story but do you think these days Rukhsati is also mandatory?

Hi Guys,

I have been following this group for couple of months. I think 24 months time frame is pretty bad for all the Pakistanis.

I checked New Delhi and even higher number of applicants for spousal immigration, their process is hardly taking 6 months.

I think we all have to collectively persue this matter to relavent Canadian authorities and ask them to expedite this process in Islamabad high comsission.

It is our right to ask why High Commission takes so long compare to other visa offices in the region.

Honeslty we need a voice so that immigration department can do  something about it.

What do you guys think?

i dont think its mandotary but ur case might get complicated if u it that way.. they might as u too many questions... n then they might take ur interview n it would get lengthy cuz of tht.... also they will ask u to give them proofs of ur relationships and all those stuff... so its better to be on the safe side and do rukhsati then going through all that night mare... and trust me that is a nightmare...

I would say so. There was a time when it was ok and the ones on the phone or via internet were objected but they seem to be doing on any nikkah cases (even with barat ones). Due to this reason, i went the second time to get the rukhsati done so they do not object. It ran up our budget and cost due to double events but its worth every penny when it comes to those you love. Will be sending papers, photos etc. Just waiting on my wife to print the pictures.

I would highly recommend doing the rukhsati and then applying. Make sure to send photos, chat logs, text messages (if you can) and anything else like gifts receipts, money transfers etc.

I saw one person in one the excel sheets (floating around the forum) used a lawyer to have their case moved to New Delhi for $2000 or so. But its useless for us as we already have been waiting for 12 months or others in similar time frame. Its an option to explore with the lawyer if you are about to apply. I wish i knew that can be done.

yes ur right... previously all the form memebers wrote letters to the authorties in canada and sended it to them.. but nothing seems to be noticing.. things r going as it is goig.. so there is nothing much u can do except waiting which all of us r doing... cuz every one is going through the same thing...
