I was a silent reader here ... You all are doing great.
I sponsored my wife and Thanks to Allah, we got the PPR. Here is my timelines:
July 2010 - Application sent to Mississauga
August 2010 - Sponsorship approved by Mississauga
Sep 17, 2010 - CIC-ISL Started processing
Oct 1, 2010 - AOR with Supplementary Form
Oct 16, 2010 - Sent Supplementary Form with proof of contact
March, 2011 - Updated Police Certificate with more proof of contact
April, 2011 - Visit to Pakistan
May, 2011 - Sent proof of visit and more proof of contact
August 3, 2011 - Got letter for updated forms
August 17, 2011 - Sent updated forms with updated PCC and more proof of contact
August 24, 2011 - Re-medical request with date August 16, 2011 on the letter
August 27, 2011 - Re-medical done
August 27, 2011 - Sent proof that remedical is done
Sep 20, 2011 - PPR dated Sep 19, 2011
In my case, there were international travels as well. I know there is also a luck factor but please don't assume that if you have international travels, the background checks will take forever.
It is our job to provide them proper documents with valid travel reason and the PCCs from those countries. And if those countries are well developed, verifying the authenticity doesn't take long.
