Alot of "Proxy marriages" and "Nikah only" cases are getting objection letters saying the marriage is not genuine. It is acceptable but have to provide alot of supporting documents to prove the marriage is genuine. So if you are planning to apply as one of those conditions expect alot of waiting time...

No bhai. I have Proper Marriage with Mayoin, Barat and Walima functions attended by 300+ People. Now a days its taking 16-20 months for a normal case to get a visa. |

Depends how much support you have sent them...If not enough to convince the VISA Officer, you will be contacted... |

They sent only AOR in JAN and than in Oct sent re-pcc,more proof request, Rukhsati objection and background forum all-in-one letter. 1 week after rec'd re-medical request. Emailed in JAN 2011 advising that we need to conduct in-person interview and file is in interview queue now. |

Your process just started in July2010. On this forum there are applicants with 2009 AORs that are still waiting for a VISA and they had normal marriages. With "Nikah only" we have seen atleast 3 cases here getting an objection letter. My intention is not to scare you or anything but you have gotta understand that a normal marriage is taking on average; as maximus mentioned, anywhere from 14 to 20 months. With Nikah only cases files are going in interview lists and getting asked to provide more proofs so just be prepared. You are in your 6th or 7th month you have alot of waiting to do so be paitient please! I know how it feels to be without your spouse becuase I am in that situation as well but this is reality and its bitter and we all have to suck it up until these process and finished... |

You can try it but i think you'll be wasting your time IMO. Not many ppl once get their visa will come back to this site and won't have time to think of other once they have their families here.
This topic is almost 200 pages and i have yet to see someone who still post here from pages 1 - 10.
Just to give you an idea there was Facebook group open 3-4 days ago and really only 5 ppl joined! To get proper Media attation Facebook is the way to go these days but you have to get 10000 or so ppl before anyone is going to pay attation.
So instead of creating 10 different group/sites focus on one
Regarding Facebook Page: It's protest and many peoples including me not joined it because we don't want to delay our processing time + it's a group not page. Regarding Visitors: Site will be for all who have spouse in Canada and not for Pakistanis only. Regarding Time: I own s/w house so 2-4 of my developers will work on it and we have free developers. Regarding Media Attention: We are not going to expose any thing to media we will wait for 5 years and then will gather data. Also peoples can join any thing if they feel comfortable with it and our site will have many features and even iphone/android apps too so every one can use it easily even if they get busy in Canada  . It will not be a protest it will be like what every one is going through and how they manage things it's about their life and this data will help every country to improve this process. |
