Hi everyone i'm new here i'm also sponsoring my husband from Pakistan.

Here's my timeline:

Received file at CPC-M on July 15th 2009
CPC-M - approved August 12 2009
Sent to CIC-Islamabad
CIC-Islamabad started processing case September 12th 2009
AOR from CIC-Islamabad received September 14th 2009

Since then I have not heard anything from them although I did send in additional documents even though they did not request them.
The wait is getting too much now it's our anniversary next month and we are praying for some good news.

Happy incoming anniversary Smiley
We have all the good hope for everyone in process & to be Smiley

^ well yea there were some people who said ordering them COULD make the IO angry. and that is if your case is still within the given timeline. but i mean i dont see how your case could get any worse. its already been 2 years. and no you dont have to pay $150. you can get it for $5. heres the link

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Does anyone know if there is always a request to do an interview and if not is it only requested when there is some confusion?
I wish we could find out updates on our cases the worst is not knowing what's going on!

Yes as long as I understood after studying that page you are right. If you have already signed "Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual Form" form All you need is to fill "Access to Information Request Form" & offcourse proof of payment.
Just in case http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp
Well I studied both and CIC's Access to information and privacy service is 5$ and CAIPS is 35$ to 150$

Which form is that?  Do have to fill this one out or the one I got before from Warya... I am confused now, and they told me I live in Canada so I do not have to pay for it... I dont know

^ Baseera no you only have to pay $5, those website that ask your for more money are private companies. they charge you more because they translate the codes for you, which you can easily do yourself. and yes just sign it yourself.
i was going to order them as well just out of curiousity. its only been 4 months for me, so i dont really NEED to order them. but then somebody mentioned that because you are within the timeline IO might get pissed off. therefore, i didnt.
but yea $5 and scribble down his name yourself. good luck Smiley

where on the website did you get the $35 to $150 part?

Warya I mentioned CAIPS b4 $35 to $ 150 which is a private company and provides service for imm status and their rates are
- CAIPS & Additional Services (US$35.00)
- Entire File (US$150.00)
- Repeat purchase (US$30.00)
Source: http://caipsnotes.com/Payment.shtml

While on other end CIC's original service for applicants is Access to Information Request for $5 per request only
