Hi Everyone

I am posting here after sometime and good to see developments in some husband cases. Just to update you guys. My Case is still where it was. I am into my 18th month since my husbands's case has been forwarded to Islamabad. We did remedical and submitted the police certificate for the second time in May 2010 ever since then my case is in Background checks and the embassy still has no answer for me. I wish they could atleast tell how long its going to take.

I wonder if any other husband got his PPR lately.. or they are not giving PPR's to husbands atall. Damn!! I have failed to understand this anymore. Suffering has exceeded all limits.... So any husbands from 2009 cases?HuhHuhHuh?

Well I am in the 14 month now and i have not even received the re-medical request...but yeah they are taking more than 16 months for husbands i am sure after looking at ur case i think i am gonna get PPR after 20 months of processing....but i am relaxed as my wife is staying with me

Hi Maya,

I just e-mailed islamabad yesterday about the reports my husband recieved from UK and France and let see what they do now. It's the police certificates i am talking about. He still needs another one from another country and the embassy gave me two months time to send them those papers. My husband already send them the ones form france and UK but the third one is taking little time so now i am waiting for an answer from the embassy what they are going to say.

Any way your case and my case is in the final stage i think, My Mp's office was told it would take 13 months and i am already into the 12 month period and one more month to go and just waiting for a good news to come along. Wish you the very best and hopefully we should be getting a good news soon insha allah.

I will let you know if i hear anything from the embassy.

take care

You might want to check into that, becuase I know my cousin who is sponsored by his wife. He received his AOR in Jan 2010, and begining of November he had received remedical and updated PCC request along with few more forms.

I hate these processing times and this whole process!
I've been keeping myself busy with school and work.. I'm glad to say that being busy and out of the house for 12 hours each day is a good way of keeping my mind off all this bullsh*t.

I still miss my hubby, but keeping my mind off all this stuff is helping me from stressing too much.

I have also experienced that its more stressful when I come to this site and read about different people from different part of the world and what they are going through and different situations people face. The more you stay away from this site the better it feels! Just me..

My Sponsorship was approved on October 1, 2010 but I have still not received the AOR from Islamabad. Should I be concerned? It is quite frustrating that it only took 25 days for my sponsorship to be approved in Canada but I cannot even get an acknowledgment after 2 months of the application being in Islamabad. Should I email them to see what's up?

AOR is taking up to 2 - 2 and half months to receive. Wait another couple weeks and see if you still don't receive anything then contact them.

Hi Saroo..  Why your husband needs Police certificates from UK and France? did he work there? or lived more than 6 months as visitor?  I believe you only need police certificates from the countries where you lived or visited for more than 6 months....

Yeah he was in France and Scotland more then 6 months and he already received the police certificate from there. That is the requirement by the embassy who ever lived out of pakistan more then 6 months they have to provide the police certificates forsure.

I also heard they do the background check for each and every person regardless applying for spousal visa or going on a point system. And they check the history for the past ten years what people have been doing and there activities and stuff like that.
