Greetings!

We submitted our application on november 01, 2009, received a response from CIC regarding three requirements, one of which has me confused.

IMM 5406 - Additional family information (to be filled by applicant), we submitted this (only one form) as we don't have any children yet - but the form does have the siblings and parents info. CIC wrote that it is to be filled in by ''all family members'' - my impression was that it was only needed if one had children. Does it mean even the applicants parents, siblings etc have to prepare one form each??, then again perhaps i might have missed out on one signature which certifies that i have no children.

Btw, anyone know any good pakistani immigration lawyers practising in canada?

Did any one receive AOR from CHC Islamabad recently? I wonder if CHC sends AOR or not..

HI knaeem here is my spouse sponsorship timeline, Still i didnot receive any AOR from CHC Islamabad..

        My timelines u already know just 4 ur info..............................my wife sponsored me on 20th feb through cpc-missisauaga n i got AOR on 21st April so u can count my time if u r waiting 4 same in my case my wife is in Quebec so we got Quebec Selection Certificate on 31st March I hope this wil give u any idea n yes I m surfing many site but no update from any site seeeems to b as CHC Islamabad is not working at all n also they way i got letters I calculate that they r opening file after every 3 months almost as in my case file opened on 21st April then after 2 months n 27 days on 18th july 09 got a letter asking 4 additional character certificates of few places where i hv lived during my services........................then again got letter on 12th october 09 which means after 2 months n 24 days asking 4 my services details which was absurd as i gave all those details in my primary application while applying so ...................now i m v hopeful counting the times that i will get final letter INSHALLAH about in 1st or 2nd week of january or might b in last week of december so let c wt happens ..................................

From  13/02/2009  till   17/12/09 IN PROCESS now, it seems more then 8 moths - Inshallah you will get some good news very soon.

NO, his time starts on 21/04/2009 when actually CHC started processing the application and look at the average processing times 9-14 months on average so probably he will receive a decision between January to June 2010

                 wt abt my assupmtions abt the timeline of opening file as it makes 2 months n 27 days n 2 months n 24 days between both letters.......................is there any timeline 4 reopening the file ..........................like on 12 th october they asked me the service details ....... now they wil open my file again on some fixed time or whenever uit wil come to my turn.........................................................

My timelines are as follows

Married Sept 2007

Applied Dec 2007
CHC-Mississauga office approved Jan 2008 and file transferred to ISB  
CHC-ISB started processing my file - Feb 2008
Husband interview - Feb 2009
Now waiting no news since the interview ie past 10months

Have contacted the MP but no use, as file is in process and forwarded to the senior IO.

Have not lost hope i have faith in God it will happened sooner or later as my marriage is genuine.

All the best to all who are waiting just like me don't give up hope.

my husband got an interview letter after 10 months of waiting.  anyone else who already went through interview process, what to expect and how is it done. We are waiting for the CAIPS notes to arrive to see what is their concern if any.

              Congratulations atleast we got a confirmation that someone is alive there is CHC islamabad .................. thats encouraging................ can u give little details ............ like did they asked 4 any additional documents in between last 10 months ................ n also what is the time 4 interview like when u got the letter n wt is the date of interview as i m also in waiting period 8 months r over so i m expecting next letter from embassy INSHALLAH within next 30 days ................. so any additional help from u will b highly encouraging for me waiting 4 ur reply take care n wish u guys best of luck with interview

Hi asimkhan, we are happy to hear from CHC but at the same time are nervous about what is their concern. I heard they call for interview when there is a concern. Our case started processing on second week of feb 2009.  We have submitted additional docs twice during this time; once when I visited Lahore in feb and once recently when I got employed. each time we also submitted more proof of contact mainly chat logs and call record. They sent interview letter last week with a date just three weeks ahead which was a little surprising as I thought they send interview letter with 4 to six weeks ahead time. I am waiting for CAIPS to see if we can find any clue. we hope and pray the interview goes well and after the interview they issue the visa soon as I know some people waiting 6 months after interview and no info for them.

CHC was quiet because as per my MP staff during the end of the year they warp up cases which are almost nearing the end, they want to issue as many visas to them as possible to increase the number of visa fanalized in that year. I think it reflects of their efficiency.
