I am so confused now, don't even know if this is done correctly or not.
This form IMM 0008 GENERIC needs to be filled out by my husband who is in Pakistan, my son & I are both Canadian Citizen living in Canada.
In the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada form, the second page says "You must provide the following details about each of your family members, whether they will be accompanying you to Canada or not. You must include your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children, and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada," my question is does my husband need to fill out info about me & our son in this form?

umm one question .. can there be still an interview? any body knows?
Marya sister. As you know I have exact the same timeline as yours not even a day out. Well medical & background already done and on Jan 6th became aware that they need to conduct an interview. So to answer to your question you never know when they change their mood.

Some one told me today that Chachu G had a meeting today (Jan 24th) and they were agreed on the condition to give a temporary visa to reduce the backlog and than couple should report back after 3 yrs when they go for citizenship and main time it will help CHC to determin the relationship.
Did anybody else hear something like this news/rumour.

A background/security check is different from police clearance. It is to verify if you have engaged in any espionage, terrorism, organized crime or been a danger to the security of Canada. Your background/security check could delay your application process if you have lived in a specific country, served in a certain military service or were a member of a specific organization.

Security Clearance/ Background Checks
Background checks are carried out on every Permanent Resident applicant over the age of 18. These checks are used to identify criminals and known security threats (espionage, subversion or terrorism). To ensure that the protection and safety of Canada is maintained, various sources are consulted for the completion of background checks, including but not limited to visa application forms, intelligence information, criminal conviction records and immigration records.
Once all information is received, it is carefully reviewed to determine the likeliness that the applicant is a threat to Canadian security. If any questions or concerns arise a Security Interview will be scheduled in order that the Immigration Officer may discuss these findings with the applicant. Failure to pass the background check is grounds for an immediate refusal of the Permanent Resident Application.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) in conjunction with the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) administers the background checks. Since Canadian officials confer with other governments, departments and/or organization it may take several months for the completion of the background checks.
A PERMANENT RESIDENT VISA CANNOT BE ISSUED UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE BACKGROUND CHECKS ARE CLEARED.
