Hi,I hav sponsored my wife the case received at CIC-I and in process from August 02, 10 as per e-case as not received AOR. My wife was already in my Original PR application however, she has not accompained me now I have sponsored her so does it take them to do background check in my case as she was there in application and already done her medical at that time.

Attach a cover letter with the docs telling them wat doc you r sending..n rite your file no in the subject of the cover letter..like to whom it may concern file no so n so...write it on the envelop too...that's how I always did!

I went to visit my wife in the summer, and I definately gave her all the pictures, my boarding passes, entry/exit stamps, updated emails and phone call logs and basically told her to send all that as extra supporting documents. It helps them insure that you are still in contact. I would say it is a good idea to send them all that extra documents.

There is no harm in sending the extra documents. As I mentioned above, it gives them assurity that you are still in contact with the applicant.

YOu all have to understand one thing. The only country that is taking so long for immigration processes is Pakistan. WHY??? May be its not the CIC - ISLamabad that is taking up the time, may be its the other government offices in Pakistan where CIC send the information for background checks, nikah namas, birth certificates validations and other document checks.

Ok i dont agree with the above mentioned part...... All Pakistani Banks, Corporations, Government Institutions etc have a facility of checking all this information through VERISYS (The Software implemented during the Musharaf Regime)..... you just have to enter the ID Card number of the person and it gives all the details like criminal record, address, marriage registration and even the credit historyy.....

This software is used by all companies in Pakistan, specially by banks and police .... If you know anyone in Police or Bank just ask them about Verisys and they will tell you that it contains all details of Pakistani Individuals

Also i think it depends on IO if he/she wants to send the application for further security check to CSIS....(Comments from cic.gc.ca about security check"
"Canada's visa officers abroad are our first line of defence. They are specially trained to identify people who could pose a security risk, and they send anyone suspicious for further security checks"

salam........tell me one thing that ID card ya passport ver hw they do?and which dtl it shows?
