Sitting here waiting for my wife to join me for over the last two years has been emotionally taxing on me. After doing everything we can think of to strengthen our application, we are still waiting for an interview. Probably not warranted, I did send the Honorable Jason Kenney's office an email. Most likely won't get a response or see results, but it has made me feel a wee bit better "Dear Honourable Jason Kenney,
I am aware you do not comment on specific immigration cases, however I wish ask a question related to my dissatisfaction I have with our immigration system. My wife's application for permanent spousal residence has been in process at the Canadian High Commission of Islamabad, Pakistan since June 2010 and has not been reviewed since it was place in a queue for an interview since June 2011.
Calls to call centres providing responses on your behalf have commented that the immigration process is regularly reviewed and resources can be redistributed to offices needing assistance. My wife's application is not a constraint on local Pakistani governance, as it has been suggested, since it is waiting for an interview from a Canadian Immigration Officer for almost one year.
My question is, with family reunification an important impartial part of our countries image, why it would be acceptable for an application to be untouched awaiting for an interview where other Canadian High Commission offices will have accepted and finalized multiple applicants who applied up to a year afterwards? I opologize for the comment but please if you write to Mr Jason Kenney who is the Minister of immigration so please rewrite something which should be sophisticated and precise. |
