AOA MAB, You are right about me visiting her. (I have requested CAIPS three weeks ago) So we will find out soon if she is in interview queue, and if she is I will go see her in September. And then we will send them updated info/pics etc about our Ruksati.
She is frustrated and worried like all of us, few days ago I asked her and she said she has not run out of patience yet. So hopefully she will be here before she runs out of it .

When you are paying for Air Travel from your Khoon Paseene ki Kamai then u expect a tension free and safe traveling.
Patriotism doesn't count with such a crap service and like I always say when someone is so patriotic and loves Pakistan and Pakistani Institution they should move back to Pakistan and live here peacefully.

Air Canada is itself in its own little crises. They are on strike and not willing to negotiate on anything. They want everything on their own terms. The government is going to pass a bill to force them back to work but they are going to reject it. Its just our stupid media (Geo, Ary) who just don't learn to keep things low about Pakistan. A lot of things happen in Canada but things are kept hidden from the world. The media does not exploit it. As far as Canada goes, most Canadian suffer from hypertension. Its because of the lifestyle in Canada.

If one has not lived in Canada and just "Visited". One should not talk. Canada is not a perfect place. Yes, Healthcare is free but just go to emergency room and you will be in the waiting line for at least 3 hours minimum. This is called "EMERGENCY". If you are a visitor with medical coverage or no coverage and are paying up front. There is no waiting line for you, the emergency doctor will see you first. I have seen this when my dad was in emergency room and there was this other guy who came from Pakistan, and he had medical coverage. Nice example of democracy eh. The conservative government is cutting back on doctors, hence more docs are now going down south to the US.

There are a lot more things. There are just a few. Just like that Pakistan has its own problems, and as to why it happened. If I open my mouth, tassub ki baat hojai gi.

However I do agree, If you are spending your hard earned money then you should travel in comfort. The main reason I think people travel with PIA is because its a direct flight. This is why I traveled with PIA. I hate to get off on airports and look like a musafir. If there was a choice between Emirates and PIA, even if Emirates was $200 to $300 expensive, I would go for Emirates. The only reason I don't is because of the 6 hour stop over in Dubai, and the flight reaches Karachi at 3am. The most ridiculous timing and stopovers, and the same thing with Etihad. At the end of the day, comfort is not all that matters. Flight timing and stopovers also matters. PIA has one of the best schedules, Emirates is still learning from it.

Now you know why we travel with PIA.

Qatar Air is the best option

Majority of the "Desi" population is in Toronto and this airline will do amazing in Canada if it comes directly to Toronto instead of Montreal. It has a stopover of only 2 hours in Doha which even I don't mind. Then again it comes to Montreal instead of Toronto. In order to come to Toronto you have to take Air Canada connecting flight from Montreal to Toronto. Ultimately, there are two stopovers including one change of airliner. This is just ridiculous. Gulf Air is good, it should start its services in Canada. It has the shortest connecting flight times.

Another airliner to consider is Turkish Airlines. Karachi to Istanbul to Toronto. The stopover in Istanbul is 4-6 hours. Amazing service, top of the line. Comparable to Etihad and Emirates.

This stopover will be worth it because it will be 5-6 hours after takeoff from Karachi. One will be tired and want to stretch their legs and walk around.

I recommend this airline.

My dad is going to Pakistan to visit his mom because she was just released from the hospital after a stroke. PIA will get him there in 14 hours (inshallah). When I went to visit my husband in the winter, I took Etihad because I dont mind wandering airports and window-shopping the duty free. The service was excellent, the plane was comfortable and it was a pleasant flight. It took me two days to get there. The truth is, so matter how crappy PIA's service is, they still get you to Pakistan quicker and its not as hectic. Especially families with children, older passengers and people like my dad, who find flying to be a pain.

THIS. Thank you. Canada is a beautiful country and I wouldnt live anywhere else. I lived in Chicago for 11 years and the last 14 years Ive been here. I also work in health care. Our health care system is f'd to say the least. Its free though, the US doesnt get that luxury and people pay medical bills for years. But as far as our over-crowded emergency rooms are concerned and the wait times to see a doctor, I would rather pay up front and see the doc right away rather than spending 7 hours in line. My khala was having a miscarriage, sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours before a doctor even assessed her. It was pathetic and ridiculous. Had they seen her sooner, she could have saved her baby. Its absolutely pathetic that our tax dollars are going to waste when it comes to this particular matter. I say privatize certain areas of health care. Cut out the idiots who have too much time on their hands and show up to the ER for every sneeze and cough.

everytime i went emergency minium 7 hours

there was one insitance where i waited 7 hours to see a doctor did x-rays and Mri and them same problem and another 5 mri and the end result nothing is wrong

i went to physo she tells me i have muscle stiffness with arithirits and tendnities in my feet and i couldnt even walk and get up from bed and just went doctor after doctor SWIPING my health card ofcourse it was FREE MONEY

i pray no one gets arthirites in there ribs worse then torture

On our way back, Etihad delayed us by 10 hours. It was end of hajj season and flights were coming back from Jeddah. Our plane was sent to Jeddah. Then Toronto people were promised another Boeing, however that one was sent to JFK. We waited till that same Jeddah plane came back. Then that plane was given to Toronto passengers. I decided not to travel Etihad again. No respect for Toronto people.

In PIA, it was a different atmosphere. They respected people from Toronto. However, does not mean I will travel PIA again and again. I will look at other options as well, except Etihad. They don't stick to their schedule. Lunatics.

Im sorry about that, arthritis is much worse than people understand.
And about the health card system, just bullsh*t. I was called to the doc's office once, they swiped my health card, got their $50 or whatever, I waited for a half-hour thinking my test results came back positive for some next disease but no. Just incoherent results. They wont even /speak/ to you without their swipe.

Lol I think its different for everyone. I took PIA to Lahore from Karachi last winter and we reached Multan area and the plane just turns right back around to Karachi with no warning or announcement from the flight crew. 4 hour flight turned into a whole night of arguing at the airport. There were people from Toronto on the flight, the pilot was from Mississauga, when I spoke to him, he was not amused. Turns out there was too much fog in Lahore so the plane couldnt land. You'd think the people in the look-out tower in Lahore would notify the other airports

but i already send them copy of mails , telephone bills, Skype logos, emails, etc etc etc...
But now they asking me to send it again..should i send them all those mails , Skype logo's bills , again? Or  just send them few months?
please help me.. i am really confused should i send them all proof gain OR just send them recent one?

100% agree....explain this to some thick headed people in this forum....no doubt Canada is beautiful and has lots to offer...but only for "the tezz people"...

ER's don't help...better go to family doctor...

I had pain in my wrist for 2 months...i used myoflex...didn't help...i didn't go to ER b/c i know the ER system...

now I am getting physiotherapy done and its helping...I say privatize everything in healthcare...if you can't afford it...there is be NGO's and government loans available to help...
