Salam All,
During this whole process my wife has visited Pakistan onece and I have visited Canada twice.
Congrats, that's great you were given TRV twice or that was multiple.Though the process was lengthy but you had opportunity to meet your wife thrice. You must be having good job? other wise they seldom give trv. |

There are new spousal sponsorship forms on CIC site forms in July,2011..And I heard whoever filled old spousal sponsorship forms before july,2011 they got to fill up new spousal sponsorship forms which are on CIC site now.
IS IT TRUE,DO ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT??

amnafahad4life - I've heard that these days CIC-ISLB is waiting until the very last minute to issue Immigrant VISAs especially to husbands. No one knows the reason you can only speculate. InshAllah your loved one should also be getting a PPR request soon. Tell him to stay prepared, they might call and ask if he can leave for Canada on a short notice.
Before getting my PPR request I also got a call from CHC-ISLB letting me know that I will be getting a PPR request via TCS and that I should fill out all the form, sign it and send it to CHC-ISLB as soon as possible. They also told me that they need me to send them a copy of my itinerary confirming that I can travel to Canada before 7th March 2011.

Salam All,
I finally got my PPR request. Alhamdulillah. Does anyone of you knwo how long does it take to get my VISA because my medical is expiring on 7th of March 2012.
Not too bring anyone of you down but my case has been in processing for almost 28months. It was a simple straight forward case. I even waitined almost 2 years to apply thinking that this will make my case stronger and also by the time i applied I even had a kid. But i guess that didnt work, it still took me almost 28months to get a PPR request.
I never sent a lot of emails to them, maybe once every 3-4 months, neither did i ever orderd CAPIS or even had my wife contact the MP. I heard that by doing all of this (sending emails, ordering CAPIS and contacting MP) your case gets delayed even further. Maybe i was wrong.
I just thought i should share my experience, also below is my timeline.

18 Aug 2009 - Approval received
12 Sep 2009 - Processing started CIC-ISLB
12 Dec 2009 - AOR Received
19 Jan 2010 - Submitting renewed PC and voluntary documents (proof of relationship)
10 Sep 2010 - Submitting more voluntary documents
02 Feb 2011 - CHC-ISLB sends letter to submit renewed PC and fill out additional documents
15 Feb 2011 - CHC-ISLB sends letter to submit Re-medical
7 Mar 2011 - Got re-Medical done
15 Mar 2011 - Submitted new PC and additional document requested by CIC-ISLB
16 May 2011 - CHC-ISLB sends letter to provide Employer letter
17 May 2011 - Submitted Employer letter
25 Sep 2011 - CHC-ISLB sends letter Letter for interview
15 Nov 2011 - Security Interview conducted in Islamabad
03 Feb 2012 - PPR request
06 Feb 2012 - PPR sent WAITING

My AOR is also July 2010, passport request came in mid october 2011, now the long wait hasnt finished yet! Sigh...
Why are they taking so much time to return the passport? i remember they were returning the passports in a week or two in Oct/Nov so why are they delaying now? Anybody knows anything about this? Or anybody here has got the passport back with the visa in a week or two recently? I am Aug AOR and still waiting for the re-medical and passport request. We have already submitted everything, but still these people are quite for long. |

Why are they taking so much time to return the passport?
i remember they were returning the passports in a week or two in Oct/Nov

hheeyyyyyy ur right... my hubby just got a call as him if he can leave for canada before 3rd march.. and they told us to fil out the forms and send it to them as soon as posible so that they can finalize the case before 3rd march .... i m ssooo happppppyyyyyyyyyyyyyy....... :DAllah ka shukar hai.... that this day finally came..... n i m so excited... its middle of he nigh here in canada and i m awake like an owl.....  i hpe that eveyrthing else goes smooth Insallah |
