Residency Obligation Question?

My PR card is expired Since August and My wife PR application is pending since October 2010. I have not met residency requirment and have applied for PR renewel which has been approved and card is waiting in toronto office to be picked up.
I am delaying this pick up because dont want them to know that I havent met residency requirment and hurt my spouse sponsorship application.
Also  not sure whether Embassy will ask for New PR card before approving my wife case?
So my question is when CHC first review your application and ask you for more Imm. document do they ask you for PR card of your spouse or not ??
What else they ask you after first review?

You said PR card has been approved and waiting in Toronto office to be picked up. If it is approved already then no need to worry. Please dont delay go ahead and pick up your card as soon as you can. My personal advice is after taking your card remain in Canada for some time and dont travel right away. New PR card may doesnt have any impact on your spouse sponsership as long as you remain in Canada.
After initial review they will send you re-medical letter, IMM forms to fill and hopefuly PCC letter too. If you have not submitted enough ongoing relationship proof with your original application or later on then they might ask you to provide more proof.
Hope above help. You dont need to hire a lawyer it is just amatter of visiting the office and picking up your PR by showing an ID and a address confirmation.

If you were really living in Canada and meeting the residency obligation, then no problem you can proof it with the documents they have asked. The most important is the TAX returns because other documents people used to fake. If they are still not convinced with your documents, then they will ask you to provide the copies of all pages of your passports to check exits and entries. I dont know about pakistan but if your record showed somewhere you lives in Middle east, they may ask for entry exit report from that country. One of my friend was given a same objection letter and he simply sent the credit card statements, bank statements, lease, tax return and surprisingly receive the PPR within a month.

I have received an objection letter from CHC, Islamabad along with Residency Questionnaire. This is about Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. My spouse came to visit me and left. But it seems CHC-Islamabad is concerned about his return to Canada. The questionnaire includes questions about re-settle in Canada and asking to give some proofs like year bank statement, credit card detail and Income Tax returns. What does this all mean and will this further delay my case? Can anybody comment on this situation?
