It was same as b4, like general checkups , i.e blood pressure eye sight etc, X-rays, blood and urine test. |

Was there any job advertisement? yes i say competition notice on thier website www.pakistan.gc.ca that they require program assistants whom main responsibility is to reply to general imigration queires. now coming to main point and a VERY GOOD NEWS FOR ALL APPLICANTS. CHC HAS STARTED SENDING PPR. I KNOW ONE CASE WEHRE REMEDS WERE DONE IN FEB AND THE INDIVIDUAL GOOT PPR ON MARCH 25 2011 cheer up guys i am sure we all get through soon inshAllah |

how is job market, if some dont have any relative or friend can he survive in Mississauga,please reply
Dear Abid, Finding a job here is not easy. I arrive here on 12th March and after few days I started applying for a job in my field i.e IT through different job websites for example monster.ca, indeed.ca etc but still haven't receive any response. Hoping to get a job soon even to get an odd job is also not easy and situation can become worst if you have no relatives or friends here because there should be somebody here to guide you to understand the system. If you are alone here then you need to go out yourself and try to understand the things which are very time taking. Muneer |

Thanks for your reply. How did you find the Canada as new homeland. What is your experience regarding prices as compared with Pakistan. If you have kids, what about their education. Please also discuss the housing arrangements for newcomers.
Dear Rana, Canada is very nice place to live but to enjoy life here you need to have at least an ordinary job because initially you would be spending money in dollars which your earned in Pakistan in PKR so every time you spend you would start calculating that how much in PKR and you will find it very expensive. I came here with my wife and my one year old daughter. Education is free here and schooling starts from the age of 4. Rent here is around CAD 700 to CAD 900 monthly. You need to arrange a house/appt/basement prior coming here because you need to give you address at the airport where to send your PR card. Muneer |

Dear Karachi  My medicals were expiring on 16th March and I received call in Feb asking that can I go on short notice or they will send re-medical instructions. Visa was issued from 1st March till 16th March and I received passports with visa on 3rd March. I need to exit pakistan before 16 else start the immigration process from scratch. |
