CHC asked me to update photo on my daughters passport plz advice???

hi dear frds
my daughter is 3 year 5 months old and CHC New Delhi have asked me to update the photograph on her Passport  as her recent photo and passport photo does not match 
how long will it take i am from punjab amritsar
seniors what shud i do
shud i get new Passport for my daughter or i shud get an affidevit from Passport office saying that  the  present photo and the photo on passport are of the same child  what shud i doo

we have got our passports back without visas 
RPRF has been encashed and and now they have asked us to update photo i have booked tickets of 12 june
i am in big confusion

Mohit you can get the new passport for the Kid in about two weeks if you approach it the right way.

I amy face the same issue as my Daughter is 3.5 years now and her passport was issued when she was 1 and photos do not match.

I don't know how it is done in punjab amritsar, but usually u obtain a new pp booklet. It can be done in 2-3 days, if thru the 'same' pp office as the original issuing. Else, it'd take time.

1. Whatever u do -do it fast, as u have already booked your tkts.
2. Once u obtain the pp, send it to CHC alongwith the Tkt's copy -so that they speed-it up.
3. Your best way is to visit the original pp office with this query.
4. Do that tomorrow morning -for your own good & that of your family's.

i will do that  tomorrow morning .. in india we have tatkal service  and in that if we need new booklet then we can get in  few days and more over its about childs Passport and it was issued in oct 2009 and  it will not need any police clearance  as its not that old ...
but lets see what will  happen... if they  will issue new Passport ?? Passport no will also change and do i need to  download any form where i have to change the  Passport no or shud i write a cover letter explaining  every thing

Nothing to download, just do what I said in point-2 [re-quoted below] & write a note to them.

Mohit apply under tatkal. There is no poloice verification required for 3.5 years hold

You may need to get an annexure F may be a little challenge, but if you approach your SHO the right way " read greasing plams" it should not be an issue and after you have annexure F it will take 7 days for PP

Keep the copy of all pages of old passport. There should be no problem a CHC to get Visa Stamped as they themselves have requested a new passport
