I have found someone who is here in Canada with a work permit and was working as a nanny but her original employer can/will no longer sponsor her.  I would like to hire her and be her new sponsor...does anyone have any quick info about this situation?
Does a caregiver have to be a "live-in" with a work permit?

1.  You need to get an LMO to hire her.
2.  She requires a work permit and can only live in.

Here is the link with the forms to apply for your (LMO) Labour Market Opinion with Service Canada. You will likely need to advertise the position to Canadians for at least 2 weeks to show that no Canadian could fill the job first. ( check on-line for your provinces regulations on advertising, rates of pay, rates for room/board)) Here is the link:

Post the job ad on http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/ and on another place such as kijiji.ca

I think the immigration application goes to Vegreville, AB if she is here already? Not too sure, but here is the CIC link.... better call them to confirm where the immigration stuff goes and what you need to do...

OR
look for a nanny agency in Canada and pay them to help you with all this, fees may be reduced if you found someone on your own.
