Changing marital status, US PR, sponsorship

1. I am a PR in Canada, I got married after I got my PR, but i was away from Canada for few years. I was not aware that I have to update my marital status. How do I change my marital status? Now, I like to sponsor my wife, will it be a trouble?

2. Also, will it cause problem during sponsorship if we have US PR process running in US?
