Changing jobs/profession during PNP process
«

I am over 2 months into the BC PNP process. But thoroughly miserable in my current job as an engineer - coming from Ireland it means a very different job here and the company is pretty awful. My bosses are aggressive, the drafters are sexist and work ethic or team work is non existent. It's very depressing and for somebody with my experience, awards won and good track record I can't believe I am brought here today thinking about ending my career... I should get my PNP back in April and then it will be the end of the year before i get PR. But a year of misery ahead just so I can stay in the country...seriously?
My current visa expires in May...if I was to change careers now and get a new job (I have lots of experience in other areas also), abandon my current PNP and re-apply I'm guessing they are likely to refuse my 2nd application as it would certainly be weaker than my first application. Would I be right?
What if I changed jobs but stayed in engineering. Could I just re-submit with the new company details or would it be a whole new application?
Does anybody have any advice on any other options I have? Would I be better off going the LMO route? I'm pretty desperate and I'm sure I don't need to highlight that there is nothing to go back to Ireland these days!
Thanks in advance for your help - any advice greatly appreciated.
