Hi everyone,

I'm changing jobs in two weeks, just wondering if I have to notify CIC about this, I'm the sponsor.  Does it affect the sponsorship in any way? Are they going to want a letter from my new employer?

We just sent our app in on Apr 19.

Thanks!

No, no need, especially as they will not be assessing your sponsorship for at least another 60 days.  If any further information is required regarding your employment, the visa office will request it.

Hi, my husband who is the sponsor changed his job in March and I called CIC to find out if we need to send a new letter of hire. So my answer is yes, you need to notify them, that what I was told. Maybe it is only for inland applications, but I would do it anyways. Good luck
