I am a bit mixed up here based on some discussions of similar cases as mine. So here it goes.

Currently working in BC with an open WP (my husband has a regular one and mine's an open one linked to his). If I decide to apply for my own independent WP when my current open work permit expires later this year, can I apply within Canada? Or should I go to the border and re-enter?

My understanding is just to apply within Canada to Vegreville office w/o having to go to the border. But, now I'm a bit confused based on discussions similar to my case on this forum.

Please advice. Thank you in advance.
