hello,
 
I have applied for canadian immigration under ferderal skilled worker class in August 2011. fortunately they have given the initial approval on my case nd is forwarding it to VIsa office wch is in london. as we have to inform from now on every change in documents to VISA office..so wht i wanna know is bout the bank statment i hv submitted with my application...actually i wanna shift my account to another bank due to some reasons, so how can i inform this to visa office..since they are gonna verify my bank statement as welll...another thing wch i wanna ask, if these changes gonna affect my case or will cause ne kin ov delay.

Hi Leo16,

It doesn't affect your application in any way as long as you maintain the expected balance required by CIC. You can only attach detail note analyzing the reason of change of Bank when VO requested for Bank statement.

Seniors please share your view.

A roller coaster ride started on 16th Sep 2012 and ended succesfully on 14th May 2012. I cannot thank God enough for this!!

Hello,
In my opinion, if it is possible, please dont change ur bank account or transfer its funds elsewhere till u get ur PPR
Now the reason why I say this is that when CIC/VO would want to check ur POF, will they tell u that they are gonna make an enquiry into it??
Secondly, when they check it actually and find that the account is closed or funds have been moved, only then they get back to u asking for updated POF... right?
That means a significant delay in ur case as u get a BF'D for ur file (pls read qorax's post on BFD's )
So in my view, if u can continue to keep ur funds in the declared account to CIC, pls do so or if u find this option difficult then follow the advise given above...
Please note that i have a fixed depoist which I declared to CIC at the time of applying..this fixed deposit was made at a lower ROI and banks now-adays are giving a better ROI than that...but I am not getting it changed just because of the above mentioned reasons..
