Dear Forumers:
I applyed for my Permanent Resident Permit under family class (common law) to the province of Quebec.
My common law she is Canadian citizen by birth (London-Ontario), and our daughter is already Canadian citizen by her mother. Both are living in Montreal.
At the present my sponsor already received the approval from the CIC for my sponsoring and in the other hand, my documments are in the concern Embassy because I live abroad.
I was requested on the 6.10.11, to send additional information including the "Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ)". Till now, I have not send any additional documents and also I have not applyed for the CSQ yet.
Now we changed plans and decided to move to Ontario province rather than settling in Quebec.
My common law already sent another  IMM1344 notifying the change of direction to Ontario.

a) How I need to proceed from now on?
b) What are the steps to follow and avoid delays?
c) Shall I send before deadline the rest of information requested by the Embassy without the CSQ or what to do?

Appreciate your comments and help.

Regards

I have a similar situation, with the difference that we decided to go ahead and submit all the Quebec info because it really didn't make a difference or delay the process, because Quebec processed and approved our application within 2 weeks and then they forwarded the decision to the Visa Office.

We are probably going to move right after my husband gets approval, but we didnt want to confuse CIC with the story.

I guess my best advise would be to contact CIC call centre to see what advise the agents have to offer.

I am sure you're not the first ones to go through something like this, and they also advise the sponsor to notify them of the change of address if she has already moved.

If she hasn't moved, I would advise you to submit the application to Quebec, it honestly is so quick and painless... Anyway, have your wife call CIC and find out about your options.

Good Luck!
