   Hi pammi,
I also had the same problem like you and someone advised me to talk to the visa office concern and i did contacted them  and they  told me to make a new passport for my baby. So i am in the process now.

So my advice is for you to t alk  to the visa office concern.

hope all will be ok.

Even I will be having the same issue. I tried to find out in Hyderabad passport office and rules are that we can only renew the passport only if 1 year left in validity. There is some process to change the appearance on same passport but I am not sure about timelines. Anybody who already did it, please share.

Pammi,

I don't think you need to change your daughter's passport photo unless your local visa office specifically asks you to. My office (New Delhi) asked me to get my 3 yr old's passport photo changed (passport issued at 1.5 yrs), and my passport office told me I couldn't just update the photo, a new passport had to be issued. Note that there was no problem about passport validity since the existing passport was valid for at least another 2 years and yet the passport office agreed to issue a new one for the updated photo. I had a letter from the local visa office (sent to me along with medical request) asking me to update the photo, but the passport office did not ask for it. It took about 2-3 weeks to get the new passport.

Hope this helps.
