Hello PMM,

I'm a permanent resident since 2005. I went back to my home country afterwards and I got married there. Consequently I took my husband's surname.

Since my passport expired recently, i had to renew it as i will be going back to Canada soon. Now, my PR card (issued before marriage) and my current passport bear two different surnames. Although I do have my civil marriage certificate, i'm being apprehensive.

Will this cause any problem when i re-enter Canada?

I would be grateful if you could please advise  before I travel back to Canada

Thanks and Best Regards.
