Change of address in spousal pr application

Hello,

I have submitted spousal pr application, and I am still waiting for the file number, due to the job changes, I needed to move to halifax, ns from mississauga, on. Will it effect my application? How can I update my application with my new address, as I do not even have a file number? I greatly appreciate if any one can help me in this?

If you have the receipt number from the fees you paid online, you will be able to enter the change of address through ECAS when you have received notice that a decision has been made on the sponsorship process of the application.  Here is the address for ECAS.  Remember to enter the SPONSOR'S information when using the receipt number.

Thanks for the help, I greatly appreciate it.

I have updated my mailing address and now the application status is in decision made. when I checked out the cic page it says,

Status Decision made

We started processing your application on October 15, 2009.
 
We sent you a letter on October 22, 2009 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I am wondering if any one knows, if sponsorship application processing is so fast. or my application is being sent back as I am application sent back for address update.

hello,
if there are any problems with your application they usually mention them on e-cas right away. It looks like it was approved, and they will send a letter to the new address already.

Thanks a bunch for the reply every one. My sponsorship application got approved.

Here are the timelines

1. Date application accepted at CPC Mississauga: September 24th 2009
2. Application processing start date: Oct 15th 2009
3. Application decision made date: Oct 22nd 2009
4. Letter received from CPC Mississauga of application status: October 26th 2009

Now I got to wait until the application is transferred to New Delhi and the processing in there.
