Change from TRV to Open Work Permit WITHIN Canada???

Please help!

I am currently on a student visa and my husband who accompanied me holds a single entry visitors visa. I would like to know if it is possible for him to get an open work permit here (within Canada)? If so, how do we do it?

Please provide assistance, specially the Senior Members...

1.  Assuming you are studying at recognized school, your spouse could apply to Vegreville for a spousal open work permit.  see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp
