Hi,
I am a student from Iran. I have accepted in one of a prestigious university in Canada as a qualyfying student. the problem is that I have not admitted as a regular student but I am a qualified student. This means that I have to register in some preparatory courses in that university before I could proccede into degree program. I have heard, Canada embassy doese not consider conditional acceptance letter. Doese any body have firm information regarding this matter?
In whole, what are the reasons for student visa rejection? How can I strengthen my visa application with regard to this problem?
Thanks

I am currently in the same situation as you in the sense that I have recieved a conditional offer from a highly ranked University in Canada as an International student however I have applied as an Undergraduate student. With this being said I have applied for study permit and completed all medical test and etc. and so far there is no doubt to why I would n `t be given the study permit if I hold the conditional offer, same would apply to you.

But it is very crucial that you understand that when you have obtained the study permit and TR (Temporary resident visa) you MUST bring along the admission offer that the Universtiy has mailed to you (The orgininal one) and of course proof of finance as in Canada you will be asked for this and might be sent back to your country if you don`t have the document.

Hope this helped.

Thank you very much for your reply. It was very helpfull as well as promising.
Could you tell me which country do you come from? I come from Iran and as you know all the things are strange there and I am concerned that the same story will not be true in every embassy all over the world!
May I know what was your condition? I have to attend language class to upgrade my language skill because my TOEFL score was a little below their minimum.
