CCC
« on: April 20, 2008, 07:56:20 pm »

My wife recently received her acceptance for PR.   We are planning on entering Canada June 1st 08.    We have a young daughter together who was born outside of Canada.   We are still waiting for her Citizenship Certificate, (might not arrive before we leave).    Will it be a problem entering Canada with our daughter who will only have a Japanese passport?   As my wifes entry papers state she doesnt have dependent children of her own,, and furthermore I couldnt "prove" my daughter is Canadian without the CCC...

Thanks for any help in this matter.

i'm far from expert on this so look this up, but what i've heard is your daughter born outside canada is still canadian automatically so it wouldn't matter whether your wife's canadian or PR or has the CCC or not;  if a more expert member wants to comment on this i'm sure they can clarify but that's what i've heard....

best of luck

I solved my problem today..
By obtaining a temporary passport without the CCC..  Will take 3 weeks to process.

Best of luck
