I am starting this for people who applied to category 2 as you find very little info about it
My time line is applied full application with documents in Feb 02,2009 got file no in march. after that no news at all. what's with you guys

VISA ISSUED...: December 2010 - Exactly days shy of 2 years since I sent in my application to CIO.

Which office did you apply to? If you applied to Buffalo, they are still processing older applications from march to nov

I am not an expert at Canadian Immigration.
Please don't expect me to answer if your post title has urgent in it and it is not really urgent. Urgent is 911 or you have a definite deadline tomorrow, not that you would like to send in the application soon

It looks like Islamabad is going quite fast. You should ask this question in the pakistan forum thread, perhaps someone else will be either in the same situation or they could give you the Islamabad visa office email address to email and ask. I dont know if emailing them is good or not.
