Hi all,

Besides my Funds Statement of Scotiabank [which suffices for the POF], I'd be carrying some 'Cash' for immediate use. For that purpose I have some US$ [about 20K].

Now my question is:
1. Am I permitted to bring US$ thru the POE ? Or do I need to convert it into CAD ?
2. In Canada is it Ok to convert US$ into CAD? Any legal issues involved ?

Seniors Plz advice...

Thanx & regards,
Qorax.

You can but you need to declare anything more than 10k.

Note that if you are taking it out of the U.S., you also need to declare it on the U.S. side of the border.  (I have no idea how to do this.)
