dear members draft should be payable to the main applicant only!!! it'll reduce delays in the office with immigration officer.
here is the site to open an account with Scotiabank from India: http://www.scotiabank.com/cda/content/0,1608,CID12958_LIDen,00.html
here is the site to open an account with Scotiabank from China: http://www.scotiabank.com/cda/content/0,1608,CID13191_LIDen,00.html

Unfortunatly, another country residents have to find Scotiabank representatives in their country, if there is any, by searching in their Visa Office web site.

Hope this will help.

the bank draft should be in your name. Once you open a bank account, u can deposit and it would be credited in 2 days. Carry atleast 4000 cash because you have to deposit minimum balance while opening an account. I heard CIBC & scotia are good ones.. TD Canada Trust has more branches...I personally did not like the services of TD Canada Trust.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. If I have to carry in the form of bank draft, on whose favour the draft has to be purchased? 'cause I dont have any account there.

Also, which bank you suggest that offers best facilities for the immigrants? ( I heard of Scotiabank )
