The lowest quote I could find for us - though we are not yet in Canada, for two vehicles (2006 and 2001 models), two drivers ( 30 and 33). I do have one accident against me recently where I struck my friends car (doh!) in my driveway. But we expect to pay 250/month in London, Ontario.

$250/month is outrageous.  That's equivalent to payments to BUY a decent used car.

Indeed, we pay only 90 a month here in WI for better coverage. We may at some point become a one family car to reduce that.

I've had no claims, and the only minor ticket I had was taken off my record this year and my insurance went up by $25 a month instead of being lowered.   It's insane.  The government of Ontario should regulate these thieves.

Did you question the increase with your insurer? It might be time to shop around.

I agree.  Talk to them.  I knew a guy who was a young driver.  He was living in a rural area, paying some 200 a month and then he moved to a bigger town and they wanted to raise it to 300.  He threatened to cancel with them and look for a better deal and they decided not to raise it after all.
