I predict my CAP will be reached within 30 days, which is faster than (as you all say) needed for the cheque to be cashed!!!! 

Again urging you Vangelis, to join the following thread. There are many members in your NOC waiting for their PER as well. So you can have a one on one discussion with them and figure this out.

So you have a waiting period of a month from now. They are on last week of Sep right now. Keep faith...keep calm...you will be through. Dont worry :-)

You are a VIP member and I have seen you helping a lot of members out here. Kudos to you for the great job you and some other seniors are doing. So when I saw your query, I couldnt help responding.

I am sorry to be the one telling you this. But this year they had STRICTLY instructed all applications along with ENTIRE documentation to be sent to CIO Sydney. Even PCC. Infact the first eligibility is being given by CIO this year (which we call the PER), and not the VO. So my humble suggestion would be for him to sent another set of documents to CIO immediately, if his NOC hasn't filled up yet. However do bear in mind that the current update of CAP is not quite current. It has a backlog and the update right now is of last week of Sep.

Dear members,

thank you for this topic. I sent my application today to the CIO, as by the courier, it will arrive by monday./ I still don'get something concerning CAPs. My CAP has reached 380 as per 13 Dec. 2011.
Now, I don't understand what that really means: does it mean that 380 is the number of applications that are counted until that week of september that they are reviewing now? Or does that mean that 380 is the number of applications that have reached the CIO office, unless we receive the PER or not, yet.

So basically, I shouldn't be really happy until I come to know that my application fee was encashed? Or maybe I receive the PER? Only then I can be quite sure that my application fell into the CAP?

No not like that mean.
once your application will reviewed by CIO than your cap will counted than the CIO will charge money. atleast it will take time so, you have to wait some more days.

 @ Vangelis21 I believe if everything is perfect with your application (all documents) than you will get PER before mid of january 2012 or before.

One of my friend send his initial applicant and fee by mistake directly to LONDON VISA OFFICE not CIO, what will happen now?. he send his application on 27 oct 2011. still didnt hear any thing.

That's the applicant mistake. he/she not read guide , checklist properly or CIC website properly, as per my understanding from your text that your friend don't know where to send initial application at this stage!!! strange!!!!

Sorry if bothering with the same question, but still don't get it: here is my concern: till today my CAP is 380 as shown at CIC website. From what I've been reading around, I was thinking that it might mean that the number 380 is what CIO has reviewed so far, so there are 380 under my NOC until last week of september. Am I right? Because, as by this logic, I shouldn't have sent my application, since I can expect that with the application of October and November, the CAP will have reached 500.
So, my application would be counted by february 2012 or so, and I have no chance to fall into my CAP.

Please give some clearer feedback.

The number of complete Federal Skilled Worker applications received as of December 13 2011 is approximate.

Once CIO initial reviewed your application that count 1cap in system but if still your fees not cut at this stage you have to wait for more days or month to get answer from CIO or wait untill CIO not charged your fees, this is the complete hidden process so, you can not get exact idea, during review at CIO if documents are not enough CIO will return package and not charge your fees even this process also take some more days (motsly CIO return documents in month).
As per my understaning if your file passed already more than a month and waiting for fees charge or PER than better to send email to CIO or call to CIO call center number to know your status of your application package.

Be patient PER takes 3months atleast after recieving application package to CIO.

Note : try this CIO call center for outside canada applicants 001 - 6139444000  and then select options 1 2 1 2 1 (or follow the instruction menu of your call) to know your application process at CIO Sydeny NS. (CIO mostly not respond at this stage but some members get answer from CIO NS using the same number).
