hi everyone! i just wanna ask all these stuffs about this Capacity to marry or No legal impediment of my Canadian fiancee. ..
we just got engaged recently after his 4 visits and the getting to know each other stage:D and we are planning to have a civil wedding here in my place in Cebu, Philippines on January of 2013. i already asked the municipal trial court (since they are the one who's responsible for a civil wedding)our requirements especially for my Canadian fiancee.
1. Legal Capacity to Marry
2. Birth Certificate (mine only)
3. CENOMAR (Certificate of NO Marriage) here in the Philippines (both of us)
4. Passport (my fiancee)
i just want to ask if how many days or week can he get his legal capacity to marry? he will be arriving on September and will stay for 2 weeks.. is that enough time for us to get the legal capacity and also file for an application for marriage license?
thank you so much for your answers... i will really appreciate since im starting to gather informationd about getting married here in the Philippines.

With regards with your question. I done mine im from cebu too.
We got married last June 25. You have to call the canadian consulate in Cebu first to make appointment.
Or you can check in the website. THe legal capacity to marry takes only 15 mins. After you gather all the documents you need to attend a one day seminar. Then you can file all the papers you got in the city hall and they will release the licensed to marry after 10 days long wait but im sure u both are excited. Congratulations and Happy Wedding
