only 13,600  approx this year and they cant process the backlog....

its not about processing the backlog.....there are certain factors involved.

1- they can only have certain number of people admitted each year...so processing stages have to be very carefully planned.
2- these current rule applicants are a priority and 2009 cases are also getting ppr s and visas + some 2007 SAP cases..
so combined these will make this year's quota.
3- Applicants who recieved VO AORs till august 2010 are getting MRs these days so they will be finalized in early 2012.
4- Applicants who sent their docs in last two quarters of 2010 should get MRs by mid 2012 and get finalized by 2012 end.

thats what i think the situation is and will be...just few observations through this forum's trends...no authentic source available..........

On June 26, 2010, the eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Worker applicants changed.

Between June 26, 2010, and June 30, 2011, a maximum of 20,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 20,000 cap, a maximum of 1,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).
