I just read on http://www.cic.gc.ca/EnGLIsh/resources/manuals/op/op06-eng.pdf on page number 11 that cap on total number of applications for a category will be considered for processing from 26 June 2010 to 30 June 2011. On July 01, 2011 a new cap will be applied.

I read on different threads that in Jan 2010 this limit will be reset. Can I ask senior members to comment on this?

"Between June 26, 2010, and June 30, 2011, a maximum of 20,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 20,000 cap, a maximum of 1,000 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame."

Total 4780 app have been received against cap of 20000 till 6th Dec 2010

I am a bit confused. I am a skill B worker (according to the classification on their website) and my occupation is not on that list, so I do not fall under this cap. Am I right?

If your occupation is not under 29 list you are not eligible
Go through eligibility tool and self assesment test at
