Hi,
I am a canadian PR currently living in US due to F1 would like to sponsor my american girl friend under common law partner.
1) After researching to sponsor I found that I need to be in canada , is there any other option where in I can apply from US itself.?
2) My previous employer will give a employement letter will that help so that I can apply from US itself.
3) Does american nationality helps to speed up the PR process
4) is it advisable that she apply just PR on her own since her nationality might play a big role in speeding up the PR process. Any suggestions on this one.
5) how long the process usually takes this I couldnt find good answers online. Any ideas?
Thank you for all your response.

1. No
2. No
3. No
4. If she qualifies as a FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) it could take from 12 to 18 months for an application to be completed. She needs to have one year of experience in one of the 38 occupations listed here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list
5. Depends on which type of application.

The only way you can sponsor her is if you are living in Canada. No exceptions to that. Only Canadian citizens can sponsor their spouse/partner while out of the country. You can find timelines for different application types on the CIC website. Go to the main page and look on the right side where it says "check how long it may take to process my application".
