Cancellation of the sponsorship application; Please help

I applied to sponsor my wife a couple of months ago. After a month I got the approval and the application was sent to an oversea office.
The things between me and my wife turned bad so I want to cancel the application. Can I still do this?
It's been almost two months since they started the PRV process and hoping that the visa wasn't yet issued, I would like to know what is the cancellation procedure for the application, if anyone knows? I might need to send a letter or something but where and how can I clearly identified myself as sponsor.

Yes, you can send email and fax to the processing office overseas and a copy to CPC Mississauga.
Ensure that you have the file no. and include your name, DOB and wife's name DOB in the fax and email.
