Canadian PR wants to work in US.

Hi all, I am Indian National having PR status in Canada, but out of my first five years of PR status, I spend almost 2years and 8 months working in Malaysia. I am planning to go back to Canada in March'08. If I take up a job in America by June '08 will my stay in US be counted towards the minimum period of stay in Canada to maintain PR status?

Last time I looked the US and Canada are separate countries, so it obviously won't count.
