I have recently acquired my Canadian permanant residency and I need to get my h1b stamped.
Can I go to Canada for my h1b renewal stamping or do I need to go to my home country. I have US masters, work directly for my employer in a non-IT field. Please advise.

What I know is that H1B can be renewed at any  US Consulate. Try for an appointment where you plan to do it.

Not true.. is it ur first time stamping? if yes then you have to go to ur home country for stamping...  after the first stamping renewal can be done in any where.. i had to go back to my home country for stamping ... i work for an investment bank (non IT) ... masters from US as well... u seems to be in similar situation as mine ... good luck ..

So is it advisable for a Canadian PR to go to his home country for stamping. I got my PR this year.
