Hello everyone.

I would like to know if Canadian Permanent residency (family class) and Asylum status are compatible? I currently have asylum status in the US and would like to know if I would have to surrender that status in the case I move up to Canada. I use my refugee travel document to visit my spouse in Canada. I have not adjusted my status to "Green Card Holder" yet as I know will be difficult to maintain with Canadian Residency.

Thanks for your advice.
